Comprehensive Travel Insurance
All overseas participants must have their comprehensive travel insurance to cover the whole duration of the program.
Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS)
Claim a GST (Goods and Services Tax) and WET (Wine Equalisation Tax) if you spend at least AUD 300, (including Goods and Services Tax (GST)), in total from a supplier with the same Australian Business Number (ABN) within 60 days before departure from Australia. VISA
Holding the right visa to travel to Australia is important. For a short visit for the study tour, most of the participants apply for a Visitor Visa which allows them to study in Australia for up to 3 months. Uni Link will provide invitation letters to the participants to facilitate their visa application. Find out more about getting a visa.
Incoming Passenger Card
Passengers arriving in Australia are required under Australian law to identify themselves and provide certain information through the completion of a passenger card. Find out more about Incoming Passenger Cards.

Public Transportation

CAT ServicesCentral Area Transit (CAT) buses are free and you can get on and off when needed. We have five different coloured CAT buses that travel around the Perth CBD area. CAT services are also available in Fremantle and Joondalup areas.
Types of ticketsCash tickets are available from train stations, ferry jetties and bus drivers. Using SmartRider cards to travel is the cheapest and most convenient way to get around on public transportation in Perth. Ticket fares are based on the number of zones you travel through.
